It's Pastel!  National Juried Exhibition 2026 Full Prospectus

Eligibility:

•  Open to all artists in the United States ONLY.  No International entries.

• Artists may enter up to 3 digital images. 

• Work must be ORIGINAL SOFT pastels only (No less than 80%).  No oil pastels.  No classroom or workshop work is allowed. If it is painted from a photo, it must be the artist’s reference.

• No works from any previous Pastel Society of New Hampshire (PSNH) exhibitions, including our PSNH member show.

• Paintings must have been completed after January 1, 2024. 

• A painting that has received top awards (Best in Show, 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize) at any International or National Juried Show submission deadline is not allowed.

• NFS is allowed.

• No more than 1 painting per artist will be accepted

Calendar:

 

Monday, August 17, 2026 - Registration opens.

Tuesday, October 13, 2026 – All entries must be received.

Tuesday, October 27, 2026 – Notification will be emailed to artists.

Saturday, November 21, 2026, 3-4pm – Online Awards Ceremony, Artist Talk by Vianna Szabo (Award Judge)

Sunday, December 31, 2026 – Exhibit Closes

Requirements:

As the show is virtual, there is no size limit.  Images should be of artwork only, no mats or framing should be visible. Please submit high quality images as images submitted for selection will be the ones used in the virtual exhibition. 
 

Images of accepted work will be retained for PSNH archives.
 

The artist grants permission to reproduce work for publicity purposes, both in print and digital galleries. Copyright will be attributed to the artist. Entry into this exhibition constitutes agreement with all conditions set forth in this prospectus and Entry Form and is your commitment to participate.
 

Your entry form is a legal and binding contract.   Work submitted should not be exhibited concurrently whether in person or virtual.

Sales:

A 25% commission will be retained by PSNH on all artwork sold through the exhibition. Interested buyers should contact Shuk Susan Lee at suel404@gmail.com. She will provide the buyer’s contact information to the artist.

 

All subsequent communication, payment, delivery, and shipping arrangements will be handled directly between the buyer and the artist. The artist is responsible for notifying PSNH when the sale is completed and for remitting 25% of the final artwork sale price to PSNH within 10 business days of receiving payment from the buyer. Shipping charges and applicable sales tax are not included when calculating the commission.

Awards: $6,000 in awards are given including cash, products and gift certificates.

Liability:

All reasonable care will be taken for all work. The entry form and payment for this exhibition constitutes an agreement with the above. We recommend artists carry their own insurance. PSNH reserves the right to exclude from exhibition any artwork deemed offensive.
