2021 Laurinda O'Connor 1-Day Zoom Workshop --- FULL!!

Join in this fun, online, and supportive day of painting! We will deconstruct, interpret, and let go through gesture, value, composition, color, and mark making. We will start the day with a demonstration, do some ‘stretching’ exercises, and build our scene back up using everything we have! There will be new approaches to try, boundaries to push, and plenty of individual instruction as we make the scene ours before ending our day with a group critique.

A detailed description of exercises and zoom link will be provided before the workshop to ensure plenty of time to select your photo references.

See full supply list below.
Supplies:

  • Combination of hard and soft pastels

  • For our morning beginning exercises, you will need at least 3 small surfaces (4x6, 6x6, 5x7, or whatever you prefer). These surfaces need to be able to handle wet media (UArt, ArtSpectrum, Pastelmat, or hand gessoed surface).
