2022 17th Annual Member Exhibition

It is our pleasure to share with you this year's member exhibition! While this virtual show is an option, if possible, we highly encourage you to visit the show in person at the Wolfeboro Public Library. Instead of an opening reception, we will be hosting the awards ceremony to coincide with the closing of the show on July 30th from 1-3p.

We tried something new this year by dividing the judging into 2 categories, Member and Signature Circle.  We felt that to truly promote the work of new members, we wanted to create more opportunity for recognition and prizes to encourage active pursuit of the medium.

Acknowledgements: We would like to express our appreciation to our Juror of Awards, Aline Ordman.  She judged the show in person and took such great care in selecting this year's winners. Special Thanks also goes to the donors of some of our prizes: Jacob Aguiar, Judy McKenna, Sally Shea, & Marilyn Bok. This show would not have come together without the efforts of our show chair Paula Fraser (and her appropriately named husband: Art!) And her assistants who came out to help hang the show: Terri Brooks, Robin Hebert, Susanne Larkham, Sasha Wolfe & Debra Accardi.

All works in the exhibit are available for purchase!  There is a book at the front desk of the library with all of the artists contact information. Or if you see a piece featured here, please contact Paula Fraser directly and she will assist in connecting the buyer to the artist.

Best of Show

An Elevated Perspective drew me to it first and foremost, for its originality.  I think the monochromatic color scheme which surrounds the hawk and then allows it to subtly emerge very much echos how these birds exist in nature…half hidden and hard to find but amazing when you do find them.  The confident strokes and abstraction of the surroundings create a picture that perfectly conveys to the viewer the artist’s intention.

People's Choice Award

While Aline Ordman juried the prize winners, there's one special prize that you get to help choose: the People's Choice!

The tallies from both online & inhouse will be added together to determine the People's Choice Prize of 2022!
